The Web Site
Well laid out, easy to navigate and very easy to find
exactly what you are after. The ordering process is very simple
and secure. You can also select gift wrapping which is a nice
touch.
A recent experience
highlights a small hole in the BuyQuick experience... I was
looking for a particular brand of perfume for a Christmas
present. BuyQuick was easily the best price of the two web sites
I found it on. Unfortunately
after I ordered it, I learnt by email the next day that it was
out of stock and could not be delivered for Christmas. Since
this was not suitable, I sent an email asking to cancel the
sale. This was done almost instantly. OK, Great Service but for
a big Department store I think people are going to expect that
when you click buy, its going to be at the door very soon.
Normally I wouldn't have thought too much about this, however a
few days later somebody emailed me with a similar experience and
they were pretty annoyed about it...not good news for web
Department Store.
A solution to this
might be an upgrade to their stock database to include available
stock levels. I guess the "live" human may help this,
but this isn't 24 hours and many people just won't use it.
VERDICT:
Very Good site, but as a major Department store they should do
something about inventory awareness for customers.
